OH has had to go away today until Tuesday for work so I'm home alone with Jake, who's 3 weeks old tomorrow.

I'm worried about what to do with Jake whilst I'm having a shower? Would you leave him in his crib in the bedroon or put him in his car seat in the bathroom with you? I'd normally leave him in his crib whilst I'm drying my hair in the next bedroom and I'd keep popping into our bedroom to check on him but I'm not sure if it's safe to do this when I'm in the shower and can't check on him easily.

Am quite anxious about having him by myself for the next couple of days if I'm honest although I've got a few things on so will be getting out and about with him. OH normally works from home and although has to spend a few days out a week he's normally only an hour away max but he's had to go to Devon which is 4 hours away!

We put josh in his cot with the mobile on and have a QUICK shower but tbh he's always fine!!!!! Either that or what chaz said!!! X

When Tegan was little i used to put her in her bouncer and have her In the bathroom with me now she's bigger i either shower before she's up or leave her playing in her cot x

I always bring Oz into the bathroom in his rocker and just chat to him while I'm in the bath xx

I did everything...... bouncer, moses basket in bathroom with me, DD in cot and moniter in with me. Ensured all doors and windows of house were locked - baby stealers - Yes I was a paranoid first time mum!! your LO will be fine, just be quick and calm and all will be ok! xx

I put Lucy in her swing in bathroom with me even now just easier and it means I have time to wash my long hair!!xx I was also on my own when Lucy was 3 weeks old for 8 weeks I worried but coped you'll be great cxx

I put him in his carrycot on the bathroom floor and he was quite happy listening to the sound of the water whilst I had my shower. At least I know what to do tomorrow morning now.

He also loved listening to the hairdryer and cried as soon as I turned it off!

ah owen used to love the hairdryer...that feels like SOO long ago! Also remeber feeling all anxious when I was left alone and you'll soon be in the step of it! :)

Sorry to interrupt but rainbow dancer just saw your sig and nearly had a heart attack - 60 odd week pregnancy!!!! Glad you were able to find a system for you and your LO though!!!!!!!!!!!
