Has anyone got any tips? I cant use any nasal sprays etc and steam does not work at all.
It was actually happening to me before I got pregnant, since we moved to this house last April, Docs says it was an allergy, but it has got worse since Pregnant and only gets stuffed up on a night in bed. OH is fed up of my snoring and squeaks that come from my nose lol its a good job he works away in the week :)

try breathing in hot lemon and honey. I did this when I had a cold and found it eased it a little. hope this helps and hope you feel better soon

LOL apparently I was nose sqeaking the other night in my sleep!!

My nose is well stuffy at the moment..Ive been using my facial steamer to clear it. Failing that a bowl of hot water !!

Nose squeaking is great, I woke up the other night thinking the phone was ringing, but it was my nose sqeaking my OH found it very amusing :rotfl:

im full of a stuffy nose & sneezing all the time... i was trying to ignore it but its got that bad ive booked a drs appointment for tomorrow to see if there is anything i can take as all this sneezing isnt helping my pelvic floor  :rotfl:

I knew I wouldn't be the only and I'm glad I've seen your post so I know I'm not alone!
I had this with my forst preg but this time round it is soooo much worse!!!!! My nose seems to be blocked all the time, I think I may also be suffering from hayfever - never really had it before but it would make sense, or not?
Anyway not being able stand not sleeping and being a complete grump, I decided to take the odd spray of Sudaphed, I did look online as well and it doesn't seem to have any effect on the baby, eventhough the label says 'not to take when preg' - think that's just a precaution. It seems other preg ladies have been prescribed sudaphed for allergies and the likes. However please don't take my word for it do check on the interent. I personally just couldn't cope with the sleeplessness nights and the heavy head!

Good luck ladies,
Dx

Thanks Daggers, I did y=use the sudafed spray before I was pregnant, it was a god send!! i might do some research and get some, Even one good nights sleep a week would be great before baby bean comes along

Thanks again ladies xx

I must of jinxed myself in responding to this post cause I woke up this morning feeling like I'd been punched in the face, my sinuses were so bad I was nearly in tears! Eventhough I'm not into taking medication unless it's a last resort, not being able to bear the pain I gave in and took some Sinutab, obviously as one would, you think about what effect it may have on the baba, but I'm convident that taking the odd tablet isn't going to cause the baby any serious harm - most of it just goes right through the baby anyway. Also it does say on the packaging that if you are preg you should consult a doctor so it's not a definate no. Saying that I still felt exhausted and run down for most of the day so managed to have 20 winks while my little man had his afternoon nap.
Long and short of it do look into what you can take, as sometimes it's just worth it so you can have a good nights kip, which in the end is important to both you and baba.
