Hello ladies,

so the past week has been horrible, work have caused me so much stress its hard to cope.
i work as an engineer, its very manual and dangerous, so since falling pregnant i cant do my job (which is fine for me)
so they moved me into the office. last week i found out they want to move me to a job that is further away longer to get in and in a dangerous area, aswell as nothing to do with my job or the section i work for. i really want to stay where i am and have a HR rep that has called me up yelling at me and sending aggrissive emails. its all very sad that it has got to this. i am the only female in my section and i understand that its all new but i do not feel this is the way they need to go about this. im so down, upset and stressed about it all im thinking if today is bad i may go sick with work related stress. (which im really not wanting to do)
its just so sad to feel like this, i feel i should be over the moon i even have my scan tomorrow but with all the current problems i struggling to get excited.
dont really know what im asking here but feel i just needed to talk about it all.

thank you for taking the time to read this

xxxx

Oh how awful for you hunni. Work at the end of the day is just a job but the bean inside u is so precious that going off with work related stress will 1 give u time to calm down and relax and 2 might make work wake up and see what they are doing to u. Do u have a union or anything? Ur baby and ur health should come first. What does ur oh say? Hugs xxxxx

Hi Sully, i am in a union and they are ready to go but would really like for it not to go that far. my OH is the one who said to go off with stress he said to put me and the baby first and said what you said, that it will scare them into thinking. they do seem to be jumping around thinking it could all go wrong which i understand but they need to help me not make things worse.
thank you so much for your reply xx

Maybe a week or so off would give work time to get their ideas together, plus work related stress would go in ur favour if u needed to involve the union. Keep the e-mails too. Just remember put yourself and ur precious baby first xxxx

i will :) thank you so so much xxx

Tell not sure what industry you work in but I work in construction and although pregnant women aren't common they still have to treat you correctly as per the law.

Unions are there to help you and let you know your rights. I certainly know it's hard in a male dominated world but you and your baby are more important.

Fell free to pm me if you want and help xx
