hi, how long did you all take to heal, i had a perineal tear when isla was born and i still cant do no 2 (tmi sorry) without bleeding from my bum. i feel like something tears open again each time.

Also ( as if that isnt bad enough) every time i cough, sneeze, bend over or go horseriding, i suffer with incontinence, anyone esle suffer with this, and how long after birth should these things take to go away?

i am scared of going to the docs as i am sick of internals due to fertility tests before all the preg tests and pokes.what will they do?

my daughter was big 8lb12oz and i am petite but as she was born vaginally i thought my body could cope.

i feel like an oap, and its ruining my sex life.

Hunny - I'm so sorry you are going through this.

I don't know what to say. I still bleed sometimes but certainly not every time - only when - erm - things are a bit of a strain  . I also had to work really really hard at getting the pelvic floor muscle tone back again and it's still pretty weak (a really bad sneeze can result in a bit of a dribble  ).

But compared to you I think I'm in good shape. I can only suggest seeing a GP but I should have thought at the very least they would need to examine you. But I'm sure they'd be able to help you if they were able to see what was going on.

I hope you work things out.

when i had my 2nd child nearly 5 yrs ago, i had stress incontinence really badly, but my doctor said we should only worry if i was still like it after my son was a year old, so keep doing your pelvic floors religiously & see what happens, if it gets worse though i would deffo go to your GP.

what us women have to go through, its not fair :shakehead:

good luck.

I was never told to do any exercises after isla was born?

Also i cant feel my pelvic floor muscles so cant exercise them. I will ring the doc and reluctantly make an appiontment.
