Fi has one above her left ear, it seems to be growing and becoming more raised, anyone have experience of these?

Dan has a red mark at the nape of his neck, but I am not sure if it's where he gets hot and sweats. I'm going to mention it to the HV on Thursday :)

I asked the HV at the weigh in I went to and she said there was nothing to be done about it but that it could keep growing... I'm just worried it'll turn out huge! At the moment it'd be covered with hair (if she ever gets any!)

thomas has one on the back of his head its getting more raised aswell when we see the plastic surgeon about his cleft he told his the strawberry mark should disapere by the age of 5,
hubby has one on his head but its white and sucken in now makes his skull feel soft where it was!!
dont worry about it hun they are harmless
xx

Aimee has 3, 1 on her belly and 2 on her back. They carried on growing till she was about 18 months old and were quite big and raised and that point. They stopped growing though and then when she was about 2 they started to shrink. The GP said they would start to shrink when she was about 3 so earlier than usual maybe? Now at 31 months they are pretty much gone. They are flat and just look like a few tiny red spots.

caden has 5 to date, all different sizes and all still growing.last time i was at the paediatrician i asked and he just said they usally keep growing for a year or 2 and then will shrink away to nothing.hope they do cos the one on his head is quite big :?

hannah has one on her leg that is growing with her

Brody had a small one on his tummy that grew a bit then faded, it's been totally gone for about a year now.

The pediatrician told me Tally has one on her back by her bum but i've never seen it and at the time i didnt care cos she was upseting her so i'm not 100% certain on what she said about it, i'm pretty sure she said it'll fade though.

I do remember reading that brith marks are very common, more babies have them then dont.

Arianna has one, but hers has shrunk to hardly anything... Hers got bigger and redder, but then faided which I was told was very normal by my HV, apprently they are usually gone by the time LO is 3-4yrs

My nephew has a big one on his forehead which is raised and they have just said it should fade it time. I think it's stopped growing now though but hasn't really shrunk but he's only 7 months.

Emily has a birthmark - but its not a strawberry one, its got a name i cant remember.. but i think its the one thats known as a 'port-wine stain'

it went from hardly being there at all at birth. (i spotted it, it was just a bit redder then the rest of her, but everyone said it was nothing)

to this at 2 weeks old:

she got a specialist appointment last week (finally) and he wasnt conserned at all. It seems to have stopped growing in the last month and he said 9 times out of ten that happeneds.. and it'kll probably stay like this for the next 6-12 month but then will go smaller and smaller and flatter... eventually being flat and tiny and slightly dis-coloured.
She has a tiny one by her eye (you might be able to see it) he was far more conserned with that, and if that grows (which it hasnt) they will remove it as it could effect her sight.

Overall tho he wasnt conserned at all - and i have faith, as like he said - it does seemed to have stopped growing in the last month or so.

Summer has one that looks exactly the same its just under her left shoulder.
I asked the MW and HV about it just after she was born and they said it would fade with time.
I also asked the doctor to look at it and he said the same.
This is the best pic I have got of it but you can just see it raised.
It has faded alot since she was born.

I have one! (And I'm older than 5!)

It's quite faint now though. It's on my back and looks a bit like scar tissue if that makes sense.

My Mum said it did grow and she got quite concerned when I was a baby, but it did eventually started fading. (And she was also told it would go by around 5 years old...maybe I've never really grown up!)

It's not raised and isn't very noticeable, it doesn't bother me these days anyway. :D

Izzies got what they think is a strawberry mark on her head.

This is when she was a day old :

The GP nad HV's said it would probably fade. It doesnt seem to have grown and im pretty sure its fading already. Also its not raised which theyre all very pleased with! Shouldnt take long to go apparently. maybe a year or 2.

This is it now, after 3 months:
