Jase is at work and there is a big storm here, sky tv has been knocked out and all my lights are flickering.

I hate thnder and lightening

I'm not scared of thunder but if I was I reckon I would hide under the duvet.

You're not supposed to use your internet during a storm you know

If lightening hits the telephone cables, it wipes out your modem, and if you're on in internal modem, your motherboard. I used to work in a computer shop, and we were always busy after storms.

I'm sure she'll be ok, most people use external or cable modems for broadband these days (in the olden days ... ), and in newer houses, all the telephone cables are underground.

Yay, welcome back So how did you cope with the storm in the end?

We have some wicked storms her in Oz and i'm a baby, when i was pregnant, Dan was in work and we had a really bad storm, i heard an almighty crash - the lightening had struck something i absolutely cacked my pants, i've never got dressed so quick in my life, you know just in case i needed to get out lol, when we have a storm here they tell you how many lightening strikes are recorded and it's normally about 18000 . I'm the type of person that likes watching through a litlle tiny gap in the blinds lol

i just sat on the sofa watching the window lol

had no tv (sky was down) and turnt the pc off in case it blew, never had a storm like that here before, it was really bad! so out of the blue aswell, it wasnt on any of the weather forcasts, just came out of no where.

Jase came home at 11 and said one of the planes got struck going up two times so they had to ground everything and shut the airport for an hour and a half.

all is well now tho, altho there is talk of another one coming tonight, i hope not!!!

 

It was a roasting hot glorious day today, but out of the blue it has started to absolutely p*ss it down (I got soaked through going from my car to the front door!) and it's thindering and lightening big time!
