I had to buy a tin of SMA LF when LO had diarrhoea, and it definitely is way more expensive than regular SMA, it was almost the same price for half the tin size.
I wonder if the GP would be willing to prescribe Wysoy instead of SMA LF? The price of Wysoy is not much different from SMA Gold. However, I have been told that as Wysoy is soya-based, it does taste different from the LF/Gold.

I know hun, its £5.62 for less than half the normal size tin

Dafydd is also on lf, they prescribe it here for up to the age of 12 mths. I hope you manage to get it sorted. i was going through 3 tins a week with him and at over a £5 a tin i couldnt have kept on.

you should try and get someneocate, my cousins are both lactose intolerant and that's what they are on- the doctor should be giving you decent stuff, I think they actually have to for a year if it's proven the baby is intolerant- I'm with jade, just take him straight to the hospital because that's what my aunt had to do, the GP was messing her around as well. Once she got the hospital involved she got the neocate on prescription
