So I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant and last night developed high temperature, stomach cramps, diarrhoea and nausea and feel generally rubbish. Has anyone else suffered a stomach bug during third trimester? Should I be worried? I can't think of anything dodgy that I've eaten, other than possibly some suspisious chicken balls from the Chinese on Friday night which DH only had a small taste of (as I'm sooo greedy lol!). Other than that we've had the same foods and he's fine. I haven't actually been sick so managing to keep fluids down but don't have very much appetite. I tried calling the gp but they are only taking emergencies due to the cyber attack. I'm due to see my mw tomorrow so should I just attend this as normal? I'm hoping some of my symptoms will have resolved by then.

I had this bug at 30 weeks. Was awfull not being able to eat for 24 hours as everything made me sick.
Oh was lucky he got the bug 4 days after me and didnt have the sickness.

Thanks for your reply aurora and glad you are feeling better. Did you seek medical advice or just ride it out? Did you feel back to normal pretty quickly? X

It was only 24 hours with the sickness and stomache pains felt really tired and weak the next day probably because of not eating. I already had a scan for the following week and baby was fine.hope your feeling better x

I got slap cheek at 28 weeks! Was horrendous, felt truly awful.

Lots of vomiting (and wetting myself). Thankfully I feel much better now but so sorry you're going through this.

Lucozade and calpol is always good for removing headaches and getting the salts back up in your body xx

Oh that sounds awful sailsburymum. I sent the hubby on a shopping trip for lucozade and ice Lollys earlier. Feel a bit better now so fingerscrossed it's passing

I've just recovered from norovirus at 25 weeks which was pretty awful - just rode it out. But in third trimester of my last pregnancy (about 30 weeks) I had a terrible bug thing and ended up seeing the maternity unit just to be on the safe side and they just reassured me everything was fine and sent me on my way to puke my guts up for a couple of days. Main thing to watch for is dehydration as we are even more likely to get it seeing as we need so much extra fluid for baby x

I was actually feeling much better last night. Got up this morning and had some breakfast and now I'm feeling rough again :-( thanks for asking! I do hope I'm back to normal completely soon xx
