I'm still only feeling tiny flutters every now and then, hardly any if i'm honest. With my last pregnancy i could feel full on kicks by 19-20 weeks :(

Does an anterior placenta really impact this much on how much movement i would feel? I'm starting to worry slightly now and the time till my 20 week scan is going at a snails pace. I just want to know he/she is ok. xx

It's made a HUGE difference to me this time. I felt flutters from just before 15 wks and movement from 16/17 last time with an anterior placenta. I've got an anterior one again but I think it's higher and I've not had proper kicks till very recently. I hired a doppler to see me to my 20 week scan. I wasnt really getting kicks till the week of the scan and even then only occasionally. All of a sudden it's really started :D

Where do you hire them from Lisa? It would be reassuring to hear a ickle heart beat xx

I hired it from a friend from BnB and it was a fantastic deal. Do you want her details? I paid just a fiver for 8wk plus £45 fully refundable deposit and postage. Well worth it as it's a MW grade one and I found the HB in under 20 seconds the first time and could go straight to it after.

And she includes the gel :)

Just had a thought :wall: my sister is a bloody midwife, i can get her to have a listen in on sunday when i go to visit the family

I might still hire a dopler like. It would be great if you could give me her details xx

The position of the placenta does play a huge role, with Katies' being at the front as well her movements were very muffled until she got bigger :)

i should really stop stressing shouldn't i lol I'm a worry wort  xx

my placenta's posterior and i didnt feel kicks til after 20 weeks i dont think! i felt them earlier with katie than i did this time!

I have nothing to compare it to as my placenta was anterior both times, but I'd only felt little movements by 20 weeks with Toby, and with Sam I hadn't felt anything at all before my 20 week scan. I started to feel proper movements with both at about 21 weeks though, and they definitely made up for the lack of early movements later on

:yay: i spoke too soon, i just felt a little flick in my tummy! Defo baby :yay: xx

:yay: I love it when you first feel baby moving. It's so reassuring! Glad you felt it. Now hopefully you can stop worrying.

:yay: I love that feeling! And then they go and turn themselves around and spend the next week kicking you in the back where you can't feel it
