Still can't find the HB :-(

Spent another good hour searching my LO'S heart beat on the Anglesounds and still cant find it, Im soooo frustrated I just want to hear it even if its just for a few seconds

And to make matters worse I bought my first baby outfit today after hubby saying I shouldnt get anything till after the 20 week

Ahhhhhh its just sooo anoying, I was sure at 18 weeks Id get it pretty easy

hmm.. maybe baby is hiding and in a funny position. I usually find mine on left hand side and its much higher up than it was at 12 weeks.

Did midwife listen for you at last appointment? i would keep trying, the placenta sounds like wind blowing through trees, i listened to it on a website, if you can hear that maybe its sitting in front of baby and hiding him/her

I couldn't hear it on my angelsounds and panicked but midwife found it today on the left side they like to hide xxx

No I had that mess up and they done my 16 week consultation at 12 weeks along with my 12 week scan so I seeon no one for 6 weeks

I done a bit more googling and tried again and got someones HB right low down near my bikini line, But seems too low to be from baby does it?

I recorded it so If i can figure out how to upload a sound file to the tread id love your opinion Nurse if you dont mind

I put it on my heart too just to see my HB and my murmer sounds like its gotten worse even different to before too so must ask about that next time aswell it has a very odd rythem now

thats really rubbish you dont get a 16 week appoitment, i'm having the same issues at the moment as i have moved house and GP and referred 2 weeks ago, still no appointment

I will try find link to the website with the placenta noise, it sounds nothing like i thought either.

Hey chick, even when I was around 18 weeks my babba's heartbeat was down near my bikini with the doppler, if that helps xxx

Oh thats pants that you still waiting on your app, Have you moved too far to stick with your origional doc then?

I wouldnt mind but I rang up telling them they had missed my 16 week app and they told me no no its on the same day as the 12 week so they could easily have changed it but wouldnt i mean im no doctor but surely 8 weeks is a long time in pregnancy terms to go without any check up at all isnt it? think thats half what has me so worried too

Ye we moved to the other end of the country just after my 12 week scan, so i guess its taking a while to get back in the system. its new GP and new hospital i have been referred to.

Yes i would say its too long, i would phone up and ask as the usually need to check your urine and BP at least, seems a long time to wait without checking these things. what a mess up that sounds.

The way i find mine and it tends to be easier for me in the mornings.

Lie flat, find the placenta sound - its loud and like a gushing/windy sound. I then tilt the doppler probe quite steeply (imagine there is a laser beam coming out the end and circle the probe so you get more coverage) only move the doppler a tiny tiny tiny bit at a time, keep circling teh probe and changing the angle that you tilt it at. then move slightly again and do the same. Mine is always very close to the placenta .

The pulse low down will be yours.

mine is still low down by my bikini line too hun so that could be it, they do like to swim towards the back tho lol and mine can be quite a monkey when im trying to find it.

another good way of knowing if it baby is to count the beats for 30 seconds and the times by 2

Babys heartbeat should be between 120-180 beats per minute
Our own heartbeats will be 60-90 beats per minute

Yeah think il get hubby to do that im usless cos i end up counting the seconds instead of the beat lol

He thinks it might have been baby too he had a good listen to the recording, After spending 10 minutes listening to his own heart and gettin silly enjoyment out of making it get faster and slower and then listening to every other body part to see if it made a noise LOL do they ever grow up haha

Bev I recorded it onto my phone just by puttin the speakers up to it lol, Didnt know what else to record it onto? what do you use? I didnt listen to the disc yet might be worth doing that now lol

mine came with a jack cable to hook it up to the computer so you can record onto the comp, i havent used it so im unsure how it works lol.

on another note i suggested me and you be bump buddies hun if your interested, i get free texts and im always here or on fb so am easy to contact. plus we can suffer sickness n stuff together lol. were only a day apart

Didnt realy want to post my FB address on this but guess in this tread rather than the FB one It shoud be fine, Im Sue Byrne but im realy bad at it so dont know what I need to give ya to add me lol

So hubby listened to the recording on my phone and reckons the HB is 140 so has to be baby phewwww such a relief or else i was very stressed that I couldnt find it my self and had a mental heart beat too hehehe
