Just had a go on doppler.. Having BH still and bubs was awake and kicking the Doppler away, moving about etc.. I was worried coz there was a fast beat then it moved. Found again and was a slower beat  I was worried the BH were causing the hb to drop.. But then after a few mins of listening and having to move about alot coz baby was... The two hbs were far apart (one on left of bump one on right.. Then one right low and one right high..) at the same time  got OH to feel my heart whole listening to each hb and neither matched mine.. I remember when I was early on I'd hear my blood flow sometimes but it was always same pace as mine.. And as time went on both hbs moved  I've had 3 scans so I know there's only one in there but what is it??!!

I've recorded both on my phone.. Does anyone know how or where I can upload the sounds for you all to hear??

Perhaps it's baby's pulse? It might have been his/her hand or something, and you were picking up the pulse in their wrist. No idea! :p xxx

No idea but are you sure one wasn't picking up a mix of yours and baby's? If you can hear baby's and it's normal and you know there's only one in there I wouldn't worry...but how strange!

I'm pretty sure it wasn't mine as OH felt mine as we listened to both sounds... If I could upload the sounds so u guys could hear...
Thanks for replying in bumpy thread too..

Has anyone else had this??

It could have been the sound of the blood flow to and from the placenta, that will be quicker than your heartbeat but slower than the baby's. Could also be the Doppler playing up a bit, I've heard that sometimes they take your heartbeat and double it, so although what you're hearing is fast and not matching your heartbeat that is what it actually is rather than the baby. So maybe one of the heartbeats was just that. I wouldn't worry about it too much, if you can feel you baby moving about then I'm sure everything is fine!

Yeah I thought it was blood flow but it moved.. And I heard blood flow early on and it was more of a whooshing sound... Gonna try and upload it somewhere.. I feel baby is fine just OH worried me with twins as his mum is a twin and dads auntie is a twin lol... But they'd have seen it by now!!

wouldnt they??

It has been known hunny for people to be told they are having one, but get the shock of two when they are born because second one was hiding :) x x x

Behave!!!

how could it possibly hide in the scans??? ive heard of them hiding but surely the 20w scan would show it up! I had two scans! and one at 16w.. 12w and 7w... cant be that good at hiding can it?

Plus im teeny lol!

Sorry

But my friend was told she was having twins, she had triplets! Sadly one died not long after being born, but they never picked the 3rd up on the scan! In all fairness though, she wasn't tiny x x

Blimey! sorry to hear that, that must have been awful for her :(

theres got to be a reason they there were two diff paced HBs (both quicker than mine) and BOTH were moving around... if it was blood flow surely it would be in the same place??? i supidly googled it  there has been a few who havent been detected at even the 20w scan  only way they cant hide is a 4d scan... maybe another excuse for a 4d scan!

Thanks, yeah it was bless.

I would deffo have a 4D scan, just to put your mind at ease :) x x

I wouldn't b so paranoid if they were the same rate and at least one didn't move lol!!

Are you going for the 4d scan then? Will be most interesting to see what happens!

I'm gonna have to talk to OH bout it as it's £150.. And I'm about to spend £120 on blackout blinds for the bedrooms.. Don't think we can afford it at the mo... May see if we can save up for one.. Deposit of £30 needed for the scan so may do that and book it for a couple of weeks time.. Something to look forward to as well as we don't really have any more milestones lol!

I've googled and there have been quite a few missed twins even at 20w  it's mad!!

Ahah that's amazing.
I was told by a palm reader that I'd have twin girls, we'll find out on Thursday ;)

I have a HB question.. sometimes when I put my hands on my bump I can feel a very strong heartbeat, all over my bump, it even makes my bump move! Is this my heartbeat? xxx

Ooooh!! We will see!! I was told by a clairvoyant I was defo gonna have a boy.. Maybe two but defo one.. And that was over a yr ago..

Yeah that would b ur hb I feel that even when not preg
