Can you help ..... I used breast pump yesterday, so washed all the parts and put in steriliser. (Approximately 4:30 pm) steriliser hasn't been opened

Now this morning I want to use breast pump, do I need to re-sterilise of just take out and use ?

Am I better off washing and leaving on the side and then sterilising right before use?

Thanks

Im sure someone will know better than me, but from what I have read breast milk is sterile so you don't have to wask every time x

I sterilise mine once a day rather than every use.. Although to be fair it is very rare if I get time to express more than once anyways! x

you don't have to sterilise every time you use. I used to mine once a day. If your sterilise has been closed it should be sterile for 24hrs but check your manual
.

Yeah it should be fine. But it only takes a few mins to sterilise again if youre worried so its not too much of a faff.

I used to sterilise my pump once a day. Id take it all apart and wash in hot soapy water, then sterilise. Id just pop it in the fridge after every use. Id use the same collection bottle too and keep topping it up each time Id pumped until it was full, then just replaced it with a clean one and popped a teat on so it was ready in the fridge for any feeds.

Breast milk is sterile so you don't need to sterilise after each use. I used to keep mine in the fridge between uses and sterilise once a day x
