How soon after learning to stand and walk holding on too things do babies start to wakl by them selves?

Braydon started that at 10 months but he didnt walk till 12 months 4 days

sorry to give a predictable answer- but I think it depends on the baby. They're all different. I guess it depends how happy they to get where they're going by cruising the furniture!

One thing's for sure- if there's nothing the matter with them, they'll all do it eventually! By the time they're at school, noboby cares how long it took them to let go of the sofa!

I just wanted some warning! LOL I did nt even realise he could be standing yet at this age!

Phoebe has been standing and 'launching' at the sofa etc since before Christmas but she is yet to walk unaided so I think it's a while.

Although I guess all babies are different.

:o

Don't be suprised at anything. A friend of mine had one who WALKED at nine months- really walked, not cruising- and it's not an exaggeration- I saw it happen!

Yes definately.
My cousin was walking properly at 9mths!!

I think Seren was 9-10 months with the cruising. She couldn't stand unaided til Christmas and she took her first steps 4 days after her birthday. now there is no stopping her. sounds like oliver will soon be on his way :D
