Hmmm

I know it's a new lesson a minute with these little ones and a fairly steep learning curve at that, but I've just realised that I've started to stagnate a little. I want to keep vibrant and alive, but a lot of the stuff I used to enjoy before we got married and had Naomi is all back there. I can't exactly go off waterskiing or rock climbing alone, if OH comes with me we need a babysitter and anyway he doesn't get time off work for that kind of thing.

I had indoor hobbies mostly, like sketching, drawing, swimming, yoga, drama - but I have moved to a new town and all the classes for things like that are kinda seasonal. The musical society doesn't start rehearsing till September...

So I have two months' paid holidays - which is great - but nothing much to do in them except take care of the baby while OH works. We'll have a week on a river cruise together which will be lovely, but apart from that I'm just feeling a wee bit...unchallenged?

OH has his karate and keeping fit. I go to the gym too but less often as I'm usually quite tired by the end of the day. I know this kind of thing can affect your relationship and stuff like that and I want to stop that before it starts happening!

I was supposed to do a week's course but Naomi got sick and I had to take care of her since OH couldn't afford the time off.

What do you gals do to keep yourself happy and healthy?

Sue

I bought a sewing machine, and have big plans to make baby play-quilts and a MT carrier and stuff.

By the evening (when I have most of my free time) I'm knackered though....I really should get back into it!

I'm a Guide Leader and I've carried on doing that although some weeks I find myself wondering if looking after 28 of someone else's kids is much of a break from my one! Still they're funny kids and I enjoy going. I've also started Tai Chi classes locally which has been fab for my posture and state of mind.
