Drying up

Hey girls...

My doctor has advised me that when I want to "dry up" and get Naomi onto formula totally in a couple of weeks, that I should just go away for a weekend and leave Naomi with OH. Because I'm expressing and not breastfeeding per se, she says I should dry up no problem in a couple of days as I won't be handling the baby and seeing her and my let down reflex won't happen.

It seems a little extreme but she said that the drug they prescribe to dry people up was unpleasant.

Any ideas?

 

The drug they give can dry your milk up, but it can also come back when u stop taking it

What a load of old rubbish, there's no way I would leave my baby for a weekend for that reason

Can you not just dry up naturally?? !!
