  1. I'm about 6 and a half weeks pregnant and i seem to get brown spotting after going for a walk. This first happened at about 5 and a half weeks but the amount gets less each time. It's brown blood so I'm guessing it's old blood. I don't spot any other time. I have no cramps and morning sickness has started but i am worried a little. Has anyone else experienced this and is it worth contacting my epu?

I had almost exactly this (brown spotting, more so after I was more active, but no pain). With me this happened between weeks 9-12. I had two early scans during that time that showed that everything was fine. They said it was likely implantation bleeding. I was extremely worried but I'm now 13 weeks and the bleeding has stopped. At one point it got heavier and some blood clots appeared which was when I contacted my midwife and had my second scan, but all was fine.
But I found it really reassuring both times to just speak to my midwife and get her advice, so i would say if you're at all worried, talk to your midwife. It can be very helpful to hear a calm voice in the know.
Fingers crossed it's the same for you and just stops after a while.

Thank you it is reassuring to hear similar stories from other women. I only have the odd tiny spot now and again. I've been quite ill with morning sickness lately so hopefully all is well. Didn't think implantation bleeding could be as late as 9 weeks but I'm happy all is well with you :)

Yes I was surprised too but apparently implantation bleeding can continue right through the first trimester.
My spotting started very very light too and got quite a bit heavier, which is why I was so worried. I'm only mentioning that to say there's not necessarily any need to panic if your bleeding does get heavier (though obviously still contact someone if it does get heavier or you have any pain). My midwife was really helpful and it seemed fairly easy to get an early scan quickly to give me peace of mind. Hopefully it will be the same for you and just go away eventually.

Ah that's interesting about implantation bleeding. I do feel more at ease now. I'll just monitor the spotting and contact my midwife if i feel the need to. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Good luck with your pregnancy xx

No worries. Best of luck to you too. xx
