Right i am getting soooo fed up of having spots!!! I never had any until i got pregnant and now they wont go away, they have come on worse since i had Caitlyn and so im thinking it might be the change in hormone levels in my body !!

I was wondering if anyone else had suffered with bad skin after the birth and how long it took to get back to your normal?!

Oh god yes i got bloody spots after having Calleigh. All through the pregnancy i had lovely clear skin except for the last few days, but ever since the birth i have had spots on my face, neck, chest, top of my arms.
They are not all visible but i can feel them with my hands and it feels horrible.
I must say tho it has started to die down now and Calleigh is nearly eight weeks.

I dont no if i can cope with them for another 5 weeks lo :wall:

I get them under the skin sometimes, the really sore spot under the skin with no head :puke: they really hurt!!!

I had spots for a week after he was born but they've gone now

Hopefully it will settle soon

I ended up with severe acne on my back after I had Mhairi. It was terrible, soooo painful. When I went for my 6 week check I told my GP who was quite taken aback with the state I was in. She put me on Dianette (the pill for people with really bad skin). It started to work within a week, but took a six month course to fully get rid of it!

If it's really getting to you hun, speak to your GP, my GP gave me the other option of some antibiotic, so if you don't want to go on the pill there are other options! Obviously, if you are breastfeeding you might have to just wait it out!

xxx

I developed acne at 7months (on my face, chest, back and neck :( ), and went to se my GP 2wks after LO was born. He prescribed a topical solution which I had to apply once a day, and they have almost completely cleared up now; its been four weeks since I started using it. I would definatly reccommend a visit to the GP, they were REALLY getting me down before I went to see mine.
