Oh my god Ive got myself really worked up, I had a spot of red blood after me and my partner had sex, its only the 2nd time we've done it since found out i was pregnant and Im now nearly 14 weeks, no pain or more blood, please tell me this is why????

Try not to worry - this happened to me at around 6 weeks and it was just irritation of the cervix. Sex can't cause miscarriage and the fact that it happened directly after sex is a good indication that it was just an "irritation"

Im sure u'll be fine. but it's better to abstain from sex until u talk it through with ur MW to be safe hun.

Thanks, I have my next midwife appt on wednesday anyway so she can lisen for the heartbeat then and I can check its all Ok, I just wish these things wouldnt happen they really mess with my head and send me into such a state!

Don't worry yourself to much love, it happened to me and i got really worried, as it was only a little bit of spotting im sure its nothing to stress over, it seems to happen to alot of people.

I just wanted to echo what the others have said and give you some of these

Thanks everyone, as it was only one spot and Ive had no more I'm putting it down to the fact its been such a long time since we've done it (sorry if TMI!) and putting it into perspective that the baby wouldnt be affected by it plus its only 3 days til I can hopefully hear the heartbeat with the MWife, but I think sex may be out the question for alot longer as I dont wanna put myself through this everytime! Never mind it'll be worth it when the baby comes!!xx

An obstetrician at my maternity unit on thurs, told me that many women have slight corrosion of the cervix. She siad this is nothing to worry about, but a small bleed can happen after sex.

If, the midwives says this is normal, then you should be able not to panic if it happens, and keep sexual relations healthy with your partner lol

Hi,

I've had some slight bleeding after sex several times with this pregnancy and felt quite sore (never had this with my other pregnancies so I did panic a bit). Forgot to mention it to my m/w but a fair few ladies have had it on here too so I guess as long as it isn't much, and it doesn't continue, it's nothing to get too worked up about!

Hey laura23yrs, just wanted to give you a  sorry you had scare!

Thanks everyone great to hear some re-asurance, I had absoltely no more than that one spot so I'm calming down now but will definately feel better wednesday if I get to hear the heartbeat for the fist time :D ....why is being pregnant so scary?! xx

Because being an incubator is a massive responsibility. And we love bubs as if we have held them from the moment the two lines appear. My son is five, and the fear and protectiveness takes a while to start to calm lol

Just last night I had a dream that him and my partners daughter were running close to open windows in a room that was high up in a skyscraper. I was in a panic. If anything happened to him, I surely don't know what I would do. So, see, it never changes lol

Hi

I had this 2 weeks ago and after reassurance from everyone on this sight and my MW confirming it is just irritation of the cervix. A week later DH and I did it and no blood.

Hope you are ok

i had this too! but im sure everything is fine, and as the otheres have said just an irritation...

Yeah I think you're all right and its just an irritation as Ive not had anything at all since that one dot, but even so the sight of blood sends you CRAZY when you're pregnant doesnt it! I'm just so worried something will go wrong and I'll never get to meet this baby, but i'm really looking forward to MW on Weds as if I hear the heartbeat I'll be SO happy!!! Thanks everyone xx
