The past few nights I've been getting really horrible pains in my hips when I'm in bed and they make the most horrendous noises, I sound like a 90 year old grannie... :? What is that about? Midwife said its called SPD, does anyone else suffer with these pains and does anyone know of any ways to help make it a bit more comfortable? I never had any of these pains and aches with Haylea...I can't wait for this baby to make his/her arrival..not long now though... :D

Join the club lol...

it's horrible isnt it, i have pain in my pelvis, hips and thighs and it's murder to turn over in bed, it takes me about half an hour lol.

i don't know what can help it ive learnt to put up with it :(

I bought one of those cushions that looks like a slice of cheese from Mothercare, cost £10 and put it in between my legs whilst I slept. It helped a bit. As soon as I'd given birth my SPD disappeared!

You can get a belt (which is just a massive strip of elastic basically) from mothercare which helps to pressure your hips together and ease the pain. Thi helped me a it with Damien, but I couldn't wear it too long.

I had loads of excercises written down somewhere, I'll try to find it xx

I have made a sticky in the second and third trimesters at the top babe with lots of helpful excercies for you.

Here is a link to Babies 'R' Us for the support belt. Not sure what size you are though.

Aw thanks Sami hunnie....I've just ordered one of those belts, see if it helps, cheers babe....
