I just bought the ingredients to make us a nice homemade spaghetti carbonara, but with all carbonara sauces you have to add egg once the pasta is taken off the heat, and the warmth from the pasta basically 'cooks' the egg.

But I'm wondering, do you think it will cook the egg enough to be safe for me?

My OH made carbonara for me last week and he left out the egg just to be on the safe side :) x

I personally prefer it without the egg anyway... But there isn't much difference in taste.... xx

I made a few weeks back and it was fine! x

mmmm Carbonara, It's been awhile since we made this. We never use an egg but may give it a go now i've had my baby.

If you are cooking it yourself then you can add the egg and make sure it's cooked before you eat it :) or just leave it out, doubt you will notice to be honest

I would still do it. If I have boiled eggs and soldiers, I still have runny eggs x

hmm i cud go pizza hut and eat one of them now with cookie doh for afters
