sore throats??

I have a really sore throat and the back of my strepsil pack says to speak to the gp before using them?? Really on strepsils? Has anybody still used them whilst pregnant? Obviously if i cant have them i'll suffer on xx

If there's something that I'm not sure I can take or not, I go to my pharmacy and talk to the trained pharmacist there. He's really good at advising me what I should and shouldn't do.
Also if it's late at night, I have rang NHS direct and they are always happy to give advice.
