sore throat sweets

i have woke up this morning with the cold from hell. i have taken 2 paracetamol but i have a really bad sore throat is it ok to have sweets like halls soothers?

I would ask your MW of Doctor if its ok!

Poor you what about getting a bag of Foxes Glaxier fruits they're just hard boiled sweets but they might help a little bit.

I was told by the pharmacist that Halls Soothers are fine, as they are mainly sugar and it's only things with added stuff in that are to be avoided, if they contain antiseptic or anaesthetic effects. I
m having the odd Halls Soother and have had no reactions from baby that I know of.

Aww hope you feel better soon . I know they are fine to take while breastfeeding so i assume it would be fine to take while pregnant

Honey and Glycerine sweets are ok. I had some blackcurrant flavour ones too they were good.

I was given Lockets by the pharmacist a few weeks ago! I only had 2 actually but it just goes to show how conflicting advice can be.

Home made honey and lemon in hot water is lovely. That was the best thing for my sore throat.

I hope you are feeling better soon. Wrap up warm in this cold weather.
