Sore throat again!

I mean come on this is the third in just over 4 weeks.
Going to pop to the Dr tomorrow, its getting beyond a joke now.
It hurt on the same side, spreads to the side of my tongue, and I have white spots!
Time to dig out the paracetamol and Ibuprofen again!

Have you had your tonsels out? as it sounds like it could be that, as my OH had this not long ago and he had to go on tablets to clear it or maybe thrush in the mouth? good luck x

Charliebear - white spots? Are they at the back of your throat? If so, that's a sign of mononucleosis - or glandular fever. Nasty stuff.

I've had a cold now for 4 weeks -and counting. Am SO peed off -was feeling a lot better on Monday but woke up on Tuesday with that nasty stinging throat, my ears still haven't unblocked, and when I speak I sound like I'm talking under water. You have my every sympathy on this one!

No, I havent had my tonsils out

Yup, white spots. I had them last monday with the blocked ears too. But only on the left side.
I had a look this morning and no white spots yet but a big lump??

I'm going to book an appointment anyway tomorrow as Dr said 4 weeks ago that my gland/node (cant remember) was inflamed and to go back if it was still there.
Well I'm not sure if its still there but ive had nothing but problems.

Hubby knows I'm feeling poop and have been fed up of complaining so today have been quiet (which makes him nervous...I talk like I type - constantly! ) He's just come home with two savoury snacks for me (treat day is Thursday) of cheesy twists. I love them. Mmmm. And a can of diet coke.

Hope you get better soon, Charliebear Tis miserable this cold thingy! If it would be a full-on flu, 5 days in bed, then over it - fine. But sounds like you have the same things as me - sore throat (on my right side though), stingy and nasty, and then ears won't unblock! Bah humbug!

Oops, sorry for not updating!

Grr, I'm still getting sore throats and I can feel a lump.
I went to the Dr and she said there was nothing wrong but to go back if it continues. It's been going on for 5 weeks now!! How long does she want it to continue??
