The only time we go overdrawn is when they take out their bl**dy bank charges and it has a knock on effect :x

Brads terrible with his money as he gets paid in cash and he was with Lloyds TSB. He never put enough in to cover his direct debits and was forever being charged!! He failed to mention this to me for ages so when I found out I called tham and gave them holy hell, they gave me an address to write to (sorry Fran I dont have it any more but they should give it you if you ask) and so I did and we had about 6 months of charges reimbursed to the account! I still made him close the account and have all his DD's set to come out of my account, now I just ask him for the money and put it in myself, it's easier that way!!

I think we are going to change banks. Anyone recommend any decent banks that don't shaft their customers :x

I have accounts with Natwest and Lloyds, I just have to make sure I dont let the LLoyds one go over because of their evil ways. I've never gone overdrawn with Natwest so I don't know what their stand would be on the same situation.

I'd would have loved to close my Lloyds account when we closed Brads but they are the only bank that have brances I can get to easily, all the other banks only have branches in town centers and thats no good if I need to go on my lunch break!!

Both the Co-op and Royal Bank of Scotland regularly do well in customer satisfaction surveys, if I remember correctly. I've never heard anyone say a bad word about the Co-op and they're also one of the most ethical high street banks around (they don't invest in the arms trade etc unlike some of their rivals).

I alwasy make a effort nowe to make sure that I alwasy have money in my account now!

Pah... I closed my account with RBOS because they treated me so badly. I had a student account with them. They wrote to me at the end of my second year saying that as I graduated the year before my overdraft facility was going to be taken off me so I would need to arrange a loan to cover it. I phoned up to say that I hadnt graduated yet. They appolgised and said they would sort it out. They didnt and my direct debit (I only had 1 at the time) for my car insurance was never paid. My mum had to pay it for me. It went on so long (3 months) that my car insurance was 1 day off from being cancelled before they did anything about it despite me and my mum going to the branch every saturday to speak to the bank manager  They ended up refunding about £300 of charges onto my account, no compensation, no appology

I think building societies are the best as they dont have share holders to pay
