when i went for my scan yesterday the midwife/man who did the scan wrote on my notes something placenta - it began with A something like Ana...ow i dunno lol i cant remember but just wondering what this may be, and if this is the reason i havent felt my lil girl kick yet?!? :D

Hi hun

Was it Anterior Placenta?

I heard this mentioned at my scan yesterday too and have been googling it this afternoon.

Read alot about how you may not feel kicks as early on as the placenta is at the front of the uterus.

Think this is right?

She said mine was Anterior Placenta High??

Din't say it was anything to worry about so i left it, only now that i thought about it really.

xxxx

anterior placenta -

Think because the placenta is in the way you cant feel bubs kick as well - I think!!! Do you have to go back for another scan to see if its changed at all?

you will only get another scan if your placenta is lying low not because its anterior.

thats maybe why you havent felt your baby moving yet :D hopefully wont be long and the kicks will be strong so you can feel them!

Congratulations on having a girl!!!!!

I had a anterior placenta and i had no problems feeling the kicks as the weeks went on and tommo had no probs feeling her kick and that either so dont worry about it!

Also just to add its nt dangeruos either - a low laying placenta is but not a anterior. It makes no differnece to yours an the babys well being.

Hiya! I've got an anterior placenta! It just means it's in the front rather than back!

Doesn't affect the kicking. I mean I still feel it very well every day. Morning and night! :cheer:

As long as it's not low it's perfectly fine!!! xx

Hey!
They put on my 12 scan notes that my placenta was anterior too!
Which I was gutted about as I know it can affect how you feel LO but I have been feeling him since 13 weeks so I guess it still depends on where babs is lay and where on the front your placenta is lol! Could be a little off to the side? I just hope its high!
