i'm got a friggin stye! all i need this weekend! i've never had one before, why now?! i'm gona go get some stuff in a bit, it best have gone by tomorrow so i can wear make up!! i'm dreamin there arent i lol!!

doh! I used to get these when I was little. My gran used to boil a wooden spoon then make me hold it on my eye. Aparently the heat gets rid although this is likely to be a an old welsh tradition based on zero medical knowledge. Worth a try. But make sure its cooled down enough not to burn you before putting it on your face!! The last thing you need is burns too!

My o/h had a real bad one and rubbed his index finger on his right hand really hard in the palm of his left hand to heat it up and then pressed his newly heated right finger on the stye and it exploded - grim but highly satisfying. Prob an Irish tradition but tried n tested, good luck! Xx

Sounds ouchie! Apparently, resting a cooled teabag on it for a while helps to take down the redness and swelling. Hope it gets better soon!

my mil told me to rub a gold ring in round my whole eye when i got one... i didnt believe it would work but was gone 2 days later and mine was bad xx

a stye and a 3rd degree burn, that'd be a good look! i've not done owt to it, its not bad tbh, was just irritating me this morning cos my eye was dry. am going to give it a wipe with some cotton wool with cooled boiled water.

you know what really takes the piss tho, i took my makeup off last night for the first time in like 2 years
