I have been telling Ellie that I have a little baby in my tummy. Trying to get her used to the idea. She was desperate to see my tummy, and and stroke it. Then the other day she started saying Hello to the baby, and then kissing my tummy so gently giving Baby lots of kisses. It was so sweet.

My 2 year old Lottie is the same...she points to my belly saying 'mummys baby'...shes very loving and covers her 6 month old cousin with hugs and kisses so fingers crossed she will take to the baby ok.

awww! millie is completely clueless! i havent mentioned it to her yet. do u think she'll understand? she isnt really talking yet (well not proper words anyway)

She may well do, they definitely understand more at that age, than they can say. I am always suprised at how much Ellie does take in and remember.

Aww how adorable!!

Bear in mind though Trix, that if you've told her and not a lot of other people, Sod's Law dictates that she will start talking about your baby in front of a load of people you hadn't planned to tell yet

How cute is Lottie :D

Last night she took the baby out my tummy to give him/her a hug. It was so lovely. I do hope though she is still as loving when the reality of having a baby around and having to share her Mummy comes about. She is very demanding and jealous of me. She doesn't even like letting the cat sit on my lap, she pushes him off and insists on sitting on my lap.

I honestly wouldnt worry,my 2 year old is very clingy with me but loves her 6 month old nephew and doesnt mind me holding him or paying him attention, she always hugs.kisses him and puts his dummy in for him.

When the baby comes along perhaps get her her own doll with nappie and bottle etc..so when you change babies nappie she can change dollys etc.Get her to get you things like powder or wipes from babys box etc so she feels involved.

Coming from a family with 6 kids I can honestly tell you that she will be fine!
