Well today I went to see my gynocologist (I'm in Italy and they do it all differently here) and he did another transvaginal scan. At the beginning he was smiling and then I could see something was wrong. He basically said that he could see some shadows on the brain and he wasn't sure what they were and that I should go to the hospital tomorrow morning and get a proper scan with his colleague as he is worried that the baby is brain damaged and I may have to have a termination.
He also said that he wasn't sure of this and he could be wrong as he's not an expert in scans but obviously that just set me off and I was in floods of tears. The baby was moving and the heart was beating but he just couldn't figure out the shadows. I then had to go back to work but I went straight to see my office manager and told her I wouldn't be in tomorrow as I had to go to hospital and that I'd explain it all better later. She was really nice luckily and sent me home, I've just been in floods of tears since then, I can't believe this is happening to me. If the baby is alive and the heart is beating fine please god let it be ok.
Massive long shot but has anyone been through anything similar?
