Hi everyone, so we've only been TTC a few months (came off pill last December) but I'm in process of potentially being diagnosed with PCOS. My cycles are ranging from 26-47 days and blood test showed I was 'mid-cycle' at 43 days. Had my sonogram and transvaginal scan today but they wouldn't tell me anything, will have to wait for the results.

I've been using OPK this cycle and line was gradually getting darker over past few days (though nowhere near as dark as control line) and now today CD13 it's just disappeared completely?

I just don't understand what's going on with my body and feel so frustrated.

Do you know what miu OPK you're using? I always got a line on anything below 25miu, switched to 25miu and they worked much better.
I can't offer any advise, PCOS is bloody cruel. Your body may have geared up to ovulate and stopped for some reason and will try again. Keep testing. Otherwise, if you have sex every other day/every few days throughout your whole cycle you will be covered for when you do ovulate... far easier said than done though!

Thanks for your support and advice. Not sure about the OPK they were cheapies from Amazon, will check when I'm home x

Sometimes opks don't work properly with pcos, I get faint lines a lot but same as you nothing ever concrete so I started using clear blue as its a definite yes or no but they are really expensive and you never know when to start using them with long cycles
When do you get your results? Xx

That's what I think is happening- just getting faint lines every day. I get my results a week today x

Try not to worry, I know that's easier said than done but knowledge is power and if you know what's causing you not to get pregnant you can finally start to crack on with support xx lots of luck Hun xx

Hi honey

I have PCOS but ovulate regularly every month and, as you can see, have never got pregnant!

I found getting a diagnosis (which took years as I didn't fit the stereotype) a huge relief as it meant they could give me metformin (which I started taking yesterday). Until then, I was helping myself really - taking cinnamon, chromium and inositol which are all a great help to us ladies with PCOS. They may be worth looking into if you want to do something before metformin and most likely clomid.

I now strongly believe the reason for me not getting is poor egg quality as PCOS can affect this. Inositol and metformin both help though so don't worry. I am also on a low GI and gluten-free diet from today. Xx
