Hiyaaaa

Ive just been for an early scan to rule out eptopic pregnancy as I have had pains on my left side (abdomen) ...
Going from my last period I should be 6+3

The scan came back at the baby measuring exactly 6 weeks today.

My period was on the 9th September

The nurse said this means I concieved 6 weeks ago today, give or take a few days....however I thought you weren't pregnant for the first 2 weeks of pregnancy ?
Im confused! It wouldn't have been possible for me to have concieved at the time she is saying as I was out of the country with my son and didn't have sex after the holiday until 14th, 15th and 17th September.

I did a clear blue on the 3rd October which said I was 1-2 weeks.

Can someone explain this to me as im so confused right now!

Thanks in advance xxxxxx

My last period was August 15th and I'm 10 weeks, you're technically 4 weeks pregnant but they count it from your last period, you aren't really pregnant 2 of those weeks xx

Maybe she got mixed up? If she said you're 6 weeks it's really "4 weeks" x

Conceiving doesn't mean you had to have sex on that day. Sperm
Lives in the boss for about 4-5 days apparently so what she means is that you ovulated 6 weeks ago if she said conceived. If she said you conceived 6 weeks ago then you are 8 weeks pregnant

Also the clear blue tests are not accurate and you can't huge based on trhem for certainty. Also scans at this stage aren't also accurate as far as dates go and the 12 week scan is far more accurate in terms of dating

I think the nurse made a mistake. If they say baby is measuring 6 weeks you conceived 4 weeks ago. The digital tells you time from conception so you have to add two weeks to count it the way doctors do. Then I think everything adds up right.
