Has anyone got any success stories from this?..
I have implemented it this month but we did not DTD 3 days in a row and gap then DTD again when a positive opk purely because my LH surges are long, for example this month i got a positivie LH surge day 14 - 19 and according to FF ovualted day 21. I dont know if theres anything bad in me having long LH surges?
But is DTD every other day ok even if not doing the daily BD at all due to them dang long LH surges i get?

I'm not an expert on SMEP but I'd think every other day would be fine as you're still making sure you have plenty of sperm waiting for the egg which is the whole idea behind SMEP

Good luck

I did 2 months of SMEP and got a BFP...I didn't trust the opks though so would start dtd every day when my instincts told me to, which was usually the day before the test.

I spent years doing temping and opks first, so I had pinpointed my day of ovulation pretty closely. It was always the day before the pos opk (cheapie). I recommend temping, noticing EWCM patterns, opks etc to narrow down your ovulation day and once you are confident when you tend to ovulate then do smep.

Personally I found FF absolutely awful and inaccurate and Ovia much better. If you temp you will know when you ovulate. It's not very likely that you ovulated day 21 if you had your last positive on day 19 - it's more likely to ovulate 12-36 hours after a pos test...but it's not impossible. I just wouldn't trust apps to get the day exactly right.

I recommend The Impatient Women's Guide to Getting Pregnant for temping advice.

EWCM is useful...women tend to get up to 6 days of it and ovulate on the last day or the day after. So if you get to know your pattern that can help too.

I was told every other day is fine, but I didn't get pregnant until I started every day once fertile.
