Hi

Anyone know of websites, which give a guide to sleeping patterns/hours
I need a guideline as to how many hours to allow baby to sleep before she needs to be woken to feed.

Your baby will wake herself when she needs a feed hun! Try not to worry

To me that makes complete sense, but my midwife said i have to wake her every 4hours to feed. At times she could definately sleep more, and i would prefer to leave her, beacuse in the end me waking her really unsettles her, and makes her quite grumpy with her mom!
The MW seems to say it is from a nutritional need, and for sugar levels, dehydration etc.

I'd just go with feeding when your baby wants feeding. She wouldn't sleep if she was hungry - she's obviously getting plenty of good milk when she does feed so make the most of the time she is sleeping.

used to have something simialr, Logan wouild go 3 1/2 hours sleeping between morning feeds, i found if i woke him after 3 he was grumpy and wouldn't feed well, then want feed agian quite soon. If i left him he had a good feed and was fine.

Just lie to your m/w, much easier in the long run.

Sandi
