wot ages were ur children wen they slept thro the nite??

Braydon is 13 months and gets up twice a nite

my first was about 6 months before she started sleep through
my second was 8 weeks
and my son was 6 weeks and he sometimes woke for some more milk

Kayleigh was 6 weeks, but Charlie still wants a feed at 2am. He's really good though and goes straight back off after.

About 4 and a half months. He sleeps from 10pm until 7/8am :D

Jess slept through from about 3 months, 8 till 8 most nights! I'm still waiting for Aimee, sometimes she will wake up about 15 times a night.

ouch

Ewan was 13 months when he started sleeping through - though last night he woke up 4 times!! he'd chucked all his blankets off and was cold bless him!

Is he having milk at night sarah? does he go down after a botttle ?

ewan used to have a bottle then go straight to sleep. he was having 8 oz but ireduced it to 4 oz, i tried giving water but he got wise to that!!
he was having breakfast, lunch and tea plus snacks too! so i knew he didnt need the milk.

he is having milk but he drinks the whole thing *2 so surely he must be hungry ?

I kept giving noah a bottle at 5-6am ut after he had his cold recently I found he didnt need it, and it was more just a case of routine, he doesnt actually need it.
What I did was replace it with water, he started off drinking this instead, ut cause it didnt fill him, it got him out of the habbit of needing feed at that time, so soon cut it out all together.

I tried the water with Ewan and he got wise to it and would start sucking realise it was water and then just scream!

I would try reducing his milk, gradually i went from 8oz to 6 to 5 then to 4 and he settled. i tried diluting the milk with water but he wouldnt take that either!!

I kmnow how frustrating it is.

he wont take plain water screams the house down will try giving dyluted milk :D:d

Ellie dropped the 3am ish feed at just under 8 weeks (meaning she sleeps through after her 11:30pm feed until 7:30am). I am planning on trying soon not giving her her dream feed. She doesn't really wake for that feed now, and it is taking less and less time so I am hoping these are signs she doesn't need. I will find out.

Thats quite young to be sleeping through and dropping night feeds and a late night feed.

My midwife and hv told me that they needed thier night feeds up untill 6 months of age! and i was being unrealistic to try to get him to sleep through.

Mind when he was still waking at 9 months i was getting a bit fed up.
i wouldnt do controlled cry i dont like it, but if it works for you then fine

Yeah niah hates water, ut for some reason when he was half asleep first think he would drink a little, then he kicked it out and went back to sleep. Try like hypnorm suggested by reducing the feed, then replace it with water. Might be a bit of trial and error

She dropped the 4am ish feed all on her own, she just stopped waking for it. The only time she has woken then since was when we were out for the afternoon and she didn't feed well, she obviously just hadn't got enough during the day so need one at 4:30. I went in and fed her when she woke asking for it. The 11:30pm one, I go in pick her up and feed her, then put her down, I don't think she is waking at all, certainly her eyes don't open, but she has been taking less each night for the last few nights which I am hoping it means she won't need it soon. She is still gaining weight reasonably well, not as fast as when she was having the extra feed, but last time it was 9oz in 14days, I will find out tomorrow how the last 2 weeks have gone.

Isaac started sleeping through the night at about 4.5 months.

Before that he was up twice a night too, I thought he'd never sleep through but it happened out of the blue.
