Hiya just wondered is it ok to sleep on your tummy in the early days. This is my most fav and comfortable position but not sure if its advised against.

I still do :?

I dont think you can harm the baby, its more for your own comfort that they advise you not to I think :)

ive been wondering about this too. i can only sleep on my stomach. can see me not getting much sleep further into the pregnancy

i love sleeping on my tummy and just couldnt get to sleep not doing it, im 11 weeks now and its so uncomfortable sleeping on my tummy which upsets me so much so i put a pillar in between my legs and lie on that like twist my body so one leg is over the pillar and my tummy is lieing flat on the pillar, if you understand that try it! really comfy xx :D

i was sleeping on my tummy till i was nearly 20 weeks, it dont harm baby, your body will soon let you know when you can no longer sleep on your tummy anymore, it just gets really uncomfortable.

aw thanks ladies its put my mind at rest.

GemmaTse I have a little puppy that looks exactly like or Avator. He's a cross between a Rothwiler and American Cocker Spanial but has all the rotty markings.

I slept on my tummy the whole way hrough my pregnancy and now I'm not pregnant I can't because my boobs fill up with milk and its so painful (and wet!) I miss it :(

Hi!

I 7 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child, I found it OK to sleep on my tummy until around 14-15 weeks then it felt uncomfortable so I began to sleep on my back. I then ended up with cramp in my legs every night and found out that it wasnt safe to sleep on your back after 20 weeks as it interferes with babys blood supply! No wonder I had cramp in my legs!!!!!

You will know when you can't sleep on your tummy!!!!!!!

Enjoy it while you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i don't and i'm 15 weeks... i don't want to risk anything... i found it easier to sleep on my sides or back when i'm early in my pregnancy, it will prepare me for when my belly is big..

Early on I don't see why not when you don't have a bump in the way. I was told though to lie on my left side as it increases the blood flow through the placenta. I sleep on my left anyway so that was pretty handy.

Sleeping on your tummy is fine in the early days. I do sometimes, but often I sleep on my left side.
I started sleeping on my left when I was pg with Lydia and it just sorta remained that way.

Hi, not sure about sleeping but my yoga teacher told me not to do any postures where you lie on your front... Kate x

my LO kicks me if he's not comfy so make the most of it while you can.

i love to sleep on my left side. i find it comphyer but OH usually sleeps on his right, so ends up breating at me, and i cant stand it.

I am more comfortable lying on my right but it worries me as people keep saying its bad.

I'm such an awful girlfriend
