How old/heavy does baby have to be to use a sleeping bag?

I just go by size hun 0-6 , 6-12 etc

My LO used them from new born.

I get the from the gro bag company or asda !

Sorry not much help x

Apologies for any typos!

The ones I have say from 8lb up. I started using them when Emily was about 6 weeks old - best thing I ever did - they a fab! :)

You can get ones suitable from birth. As long as LOs head stays in right place iykwim. Cxx

Thanks ladies, i was a bit confused as some say 0-3 but didnt think you could use them from newborn.

Harry still small, not 8lbs yet

iv got grobags but too scared to use them incase they overheat.do you put baby in vest light sleepsuit inside? my boys always kick their blankets off not sure if they are hot or just hving a wriggle x

I dress Emily in a vest and sleep suit and then she is nice and Cosy in her sleeping bag. No blankets required!

Can I ask where people got their suitable from newborn ones from? LO is nearly 4 weeks but only just over 8lbs, plus she is a side sleeper - does this matter?

Georgias a side sleeper too, and wee use them. asda has 0-6 ones. xxx

I like the Asda ones as the neck opening isn't too large but they are reasonably long. Dylan has vest, sleepsuit and sleeping bag. He's a wriggler so they are useful for keeping him warm and safe too.

Swapping to a grobag was the best sleep choice I made for Ariel! He kept waking himself up because he had kicked off his covers. It also really helps as part of his bedtime routine and he absolutely loves his! For what tog and what to wear with it grobag have exact guidelines for diff temperatures and they come with a free room thermometer so I just go by that

Gro bag ones from memory are from 7lb weight. Used them all the time with dd and have used a few with theo but he likes his blankets on x

I put them in a vest and sleep suit too

I had one from kiddie care think its an o'baby one.. That's 3tog and 0-6 they are great for babys who kick the blankets off! Harry wears a vest and sleepsuit under his :) xx

that's what I like about them!!

We haven't really settled into bedtime routine yet, cos of demand feeding, and DH's funny work hours.

But at least the sleeping bag means
She knows it's bedtime. Xxx
