I thought I was still awake the whole time it happend its very scary anyone else get this?

I seem to be having very vivid dreams aswell lately.

I've had it before (before I was pregnant though) - terrifying, isn't it? I found with both this pregnancy and the last, I get lots of really vivid dreams.

Not sure what u mean hun????

The only way I can explain sleep paralysis is that in a dream you think your wide awake ( your not ) you feel scared unable to move or speak ( in my case anyway)

I seem to be having this sort of thing every night not all women get it but when it happens you will know !

I found this in the dictionary and its explains abit about what happens

( remembering this all happens when you asleep )

pa·ral·y·sis ( P ) Pronunciation Key (p-rl-ss)
n. pl. pa·ral·y·ses (-sz)

Loss or impairment of the ability to move a body part, usually as a result of damage to its nerve supply.

Loss of sensation over a region of the body.

Inability to move or function; total stoppage or severe impairment of activity: fear that led to national paralysis.

I also get a lot more sexy dreams when I am pregnant.

Gosh Tasha it sounds horrible I really feel for you!!!! :(

That sounds well scary tasha!! I get really vivd dreams tho and much more erotic to :D  its one of the ways i know im pregnant so quickly cos they start immediately!! lol

I get sleep paralysis normally when I've had too much sleep.
It's horrible. I always think I'm going to die!
Don't know what the solution is. I've managed to find a way of moving my foot when I get it so I've told my husband to wake me up if he ever feels my foot moving!
How odd!

i get this very rarely. the theory is that when you fall asleep your mind shuts off and your body relaxes. some times when people fall asleep your mind stays alert for a fraction longer than it takes all your muscles to relax. therefore you have the feeling of being awake but unable to move. same thing if you wake up and it happens, your mind wakes faster then your body.

is very freaky though - i can never sleep after it has happened

NoI cant sleep either after I have had it.

I wish I was having erotic dreams!!
Yes JaidyBaby its really scary its the weirdiest thing you will ever experience.

Tasha those dreams come later in pregnancy  i used to have them in the early hours after i had had my 3 am pee! fat lot of good then when dh was fast asleep!!!!

when i first had them i was convinced it was something spooky  cos it feels a bit like something external pushing down all over you. was very relieved when i found out it was natural :D

lol I cant wait to have some!! yes I know what you mean by being pushed the first time I had it I felt like something was pinning me to the bed, and it really didnt help having that when im abit of a spiritulist and making my self paranoid thinking we had ghosts ( we live right next to a grave yard!!)

lol all I hope is that I dont get that feeling again it really isnt nice x
