SKY v VIRGIN MEDIA

We currently have V Media with a V+ box, all sports channels and multiroom.

Does anyone have sky? I have been looking into it and it's a bit cheaper.....

We looked at Virgin for the broadband but isn't covered in our area

We're with sky. We have sky+..everything except sports, HD, Multiroom, broadband and telephone (free evenings and weekends) for £75 i think.

i have full package on sky+ and pay 50 odd a month and the unlimeted calls and broadband with talk talk for 20 odd a month

I just cannot believe the price of phone/broadband/tv. Its mental! I only want a phone line and broadband and its going to cost me £21! Thats the cheapest I found and thats with sky. Its crap speeds though but nobody in this area can get above 2mb.

My moms on talk talk and it's about 15 a month for phone and broadband if you can get that in your area melio, the broadbands really fast and she's in a bad area as well. Can't help on the sky/virgin thing though cos I haven't got either! I've just got freeview tv and mobile broadband and my phone has unlimited Internet so I can use that as a modem too.

I just typed a big thing about talktalk but then remembered why I couldnt get it. Because Im moving into a new house I have to ring them to sort it, but because Im ringing and not doing it on the internet Id have to pay a £30 start up cost and I dont get discounted rates so it would cost me about £20. Grrrr. I was so annoyed when I went to apply for it and it did that. So I figure with sky its a £10 initial cost and then £21 so only minimal difference. I dont know how fast talktalk is as I dont have a phoneline so they cant test it. again...grrrrrr.

I rang virgin and told them
I'm leaving (had no intention to as sky was almost same price) and they have reduced my bill! I'm now getting

free calls,

extra fast broadband,

all tv channels including sports (not movies) with my current V+ box and multiroom for...

£65!!!!!!!!
