Skatty, you back?

My mum may come to visit for a day or so just after the birth but like my sister did I told that maybe a couple of weeks or a month later she can come and stay for a week?!
Fortunately this will be mom's 2nd grandchild and to top it of my sister just found out she is pregnant! So hopefully this will help divert some of my mom's attendtion - she's lovely but somewhat over bearing
Like you my mom has a load of stuff for baba as well, everytime she goes shoppoing she buys something- personally don't think I'll ever have to by any clothing for Otis!! I was so chuffed on Saturday I finally  got round to buying Otis's 1st toys, a Miffy stuff toy and a Miffy rattle - i love Miffy, think he's Dutch (not  sure if you miffy the rabbit??).
No, not started packing as yet  , will start on the weekend once I've started my maternity leave!!!!! . You are so fortunate you are your own boss, do you think you'll stop for awhile before or after you've had the baby?

I know miffy because one of my friends hads bought a little one for Leorah!

As for work yes I'm lucky in a way but sometimes its hard to be motivated! I plan to work as long as I feel well enough and then do lots of prepartation for after I've given birth because my busiest time of year is November and December, party season! I'm trying to get all the party dresses washed and packed away beforehand. The ones that I'll sell in my ebay shop I'll photograph and my regular wholesale customers know to get their orders in early so I should be ok. I spent some time with my SIL and her new born baby and she siad they sleep so much the first few months that I should be ok unless she had colic so I am keeping my fingers crossed for a laid back baby! I can always work while my Oh is at home as he usually works from afternoon until evening with one 24 hour shift so he's home alot.

I also get maternity pay! This is a real bonus as I don't take a wage from the business so its extra money. I am learning to drive with it. I spent my 20s in other countries or in London where I didn't need a car so after a teenage failure I never bothered again. I wish I had because its costing over a grand. You have to do 26 theory classes in a classroom and an advanced driving course here but that is good because you drive on an icy track which is how just about all the roads are in the winter!

I hope your week zooms by :)
