Skatty, saw you posted yesterday, does that mean you're back online? How's the move going??

Hi Daggers, yes I'm back! The move went fine, I didn't really do anything! Its absolutely lovely being in the house now and my DH has done so much already. Your turn soon! I really whish I didn't stress so much about it now, make sure you don't either

We are still in a bit of a mess but my Mum is coming at the end of July so we want to be more or less organised by then. The weather was so nce today we just decided to have a day off.

When do you move? Are you alreadty packing? I think my problem was leaving everything to the last monute but that's me all over

Well congrats  !! You must be pleased you're all moved in now, guess you just have the unpacking to do  ? We haven't 100% confirmed our moving date but it will be around the end of July (should find out this week), which is fine as my last day at work is the 28th - I can't wait! Hopefully like you I all I'll probably be doing is packing I'll my OH sort the move out, and no we haven't started packing as yet, probably be last minute. Went to see my sister today to collect a moses basket, pooh bin, car, seat and some other bits and pieces. Did my first wash of baby clothes today for the hospital bag - how wierd is that!!! Just to make sure I'm prepare as you never know when the LO is going to decide to make an appearance.

OMG how exciting, its not long now is it? How is your pregnancy are you feeling comfortable?

I have just ordered a Hauck travel system off ebay. Its going to my Mum who will drive over with it and all my other stuff like a steriliser and baby moniter. Its all so expensive here. Time is going so fast, I'm actually feeling great at the moment and almost forget I'm pregnant!

Hope you have a smooth move and are nice and settled before Otis(? did you make a decision on that name) makes an appearance :D

Welcome back Skatty!

Im glad your move went well. Im stressing about our Hungary move (only 21 days now lol) hopefully it will go ok!

That's really exciting Melanie! The only advice I can give is try not to stress because I really regret letting myself feel so bad now :) Its going to be a real adventure for you and you should be nice and settled before your LO arrives. Isn't it your 4D scan soon or did I miss that?

Welcome back Skatty. Glad all went well with the move.

Mel, I can't believe you only have 21 days left
Hope all the preparation is going ok.

Daggers good luck with your move; hope you get your confirmed date soon.

Take care all :D

Wow sounds like there's quite a few of us on the move! Still haven't had a 100% confirmation on the move date, should get it early this week - the weekend of the 28th would be great as I finish on work on the 28th July!!!
We haven't really looked into any other names, seems like it may well be Otis (Otis Akiva de Botton - mi thinks!) wierd seeing it written down.
Skatty I know what you mean about expensive, I find things here expensive can't imagine what sort of prices your paying in Denmark, thank god for hand mi downs!
- by the way what is a Hauck travel system ?

Hi Daggers, that link is the travel system if I did it right! It has a pushchair, carrycot, carseat, cosy toes, raincover and changing bag all for £299!! I love it, everyone over here has those big old fashioned prams that just get in everyones way. I wanted a red one and something that would be practical, the carrycot was a real bonus because they are not usualy included but Leorah will be quite small while its winter so it will be really useful.

Loving the name by the way! :D

Wow you really have a lot to look forward to :D

Glad the move went well Skatty, be lovely and cosy for when your little daughter makes an appearance. Hope you are taking it easy though. How are you feeling at the mo?

Hello Dippy! I am actually feeling very well but quite huge all of a sudden! Isn't it funny how we can't wait to show and then all of a sudden it is a shock! How are you, is your pregnancy running smoothly now?

Skatty, at work at the mo so can't access ebay - will check out link at home, sounds like you got yourself a bargin! Will be looking at the whole prams, push chairs thing maybe in a months time, it can all get a bit too much from time to time! Just ordered our nursery set from Mamas & Papas - glad that's finally sorted and due to be delievered to our new place around the 10th of August. How you coping now after your move, you feeling okay? I'm a bit feb up, probably doesn't help that I've just flushed my mobile down the loo at work!! DOH, I feel like such a dork and now it's a gonners!! Don't know whether to blame the pregnancy for my clumsiness or is it just me - probably is just me!!

Oh dear Daggers but sorry that is quite funny that your phone ended up in the loo! I had 3 phones in a row that fell into my drinks, no joke one did a real detour out of my hand and landed in a glass on the floor, I never liked bacardi breezers since

I have had a bit of a come down since first moving :( we still haven't got the shelves we want so we have boxes of dvds and books everywhere and there is always so much to do! Its not that bad though we decorated the nursery last night so its pink with an animal border around the room, its so cute!

My Mum recieved the pushchair yesterday and she said it lovely. It will be really different from the big old fashioned prams everyone has here, they are just so impractical. I do advise if you see a pram you like in the shop to check on ebay because they are sold so much cheaper.

Have you a moving date yet? I'm sure you'll be feeling much better when you are in your new place. You will have fished work soon and you can chill out at your new place, do you have a garden?

Yippee my DH just called to say we are going to go and get our shelves now!

Speak soon :D

Oh dear, I know what you mean about being on a bit of a downer. moving is one thing and then having to unpack and put everything back in order is something else, especially when you wanted it all to happen yestersay! :? Good news re the shelves, one more thing out of the way for you! Yesterday we went to look at some beds as that is another priority on our list, really I'm leaving that up to my OH to decide, I just can't be bothered any more and I'm sure what ever he chooses will be fine.
Once you've completed your nursery you'll have to post some pics! Re the prams, because I know nothing about them it's like starting from scratch and having to do some research, will give my head a wee break and then delve into researching that (and the car seats!). By the way have you got a rocking / gliding chair, are you planning to get one? My MIL has offered to buy one but again not sure of what or who?!!

I have to admit when it came to choosing the pushchair I have gone with looks but I have heard they are very practical too. As for the gliding/swing chair I was actually going to get a vibrating chair as my friend said it was the only thing that sent her baby off to sleep in the day. Someone may have reccommended one in the baby product section though.

We also have our new bed coming tomorrow, a king size because my dog is just getting too big and we need more room(I'm blaming it on the dog but its actually me that's growing  ! I actually like all the shopping its just the organising of the house I can't bare. I will definitely take pics of the nursery but I haven't worked out how to load them up yet!

By the way Akiva is one of my fave hebrew names, did your DH choose it? :D

heheheh I knew my husband wanted to go with a hebrew middle name, so one day I just got on the net and wrote down a list of the ones I thought sounded nice, so far he seems to like that one the most - think Akiva is a big old time Rabbi? It's not 100% yet but I think it sounds good - different!
Cool, did you take long to decide what sort of bed your going for? At present we've got it short listed to 2 - hand crafted by someone in Camden at a really good price!! Think we're gonna end up with the 'super king' size!!! That way I guess we'll hardly ever have to see each other in bed  . It should be big enough to hold OH, baby, two cats, myself and the neighbours!!! As long as I can still walk around the room comfortably I'm not to bothered!
How's it going with the shelves and the unpacking in general you nearly finished?? Lucky woman :)

Skatty, just had a look at the link for the travel system, it's really nice, mi like a lot! What is the pic of the thing in the fore ground - looks like a bag?
And you got it at a fab price Nice one

Its either the changing bag or the cosy toes/foot muff. They have lots of other travel systems too in all sorts of colours and most have all the extras but not all of them have a carrycot.

ooh a super kingsize, even better! We just bounced on a few beds and said we'll have that one

Yeah Akiva was a big time rabbi and I think its also a variation of Jakov (Jacob). Its quite unusual too. Its nice that he'll have a bit of his heritage in his name. Martin wanted something nordic as a middle name but they were all bl**dy awful!

Martin is at this moment putting the nursery furniture together. I promised to make him a cupps about an hour ago so I'd better get on with it
