Sickness bug and breastfeeding

I am rather ill.

T had it the other day and now I've got it. I can't keep down fluids and I'm bring sick every 20mins and have been since lunchtime.

I'm not sure I have the strength to feed her she only has boobie before bed . Would offering a cup of water instead be ok? Or should I offer formula? I don't have any but DH will have to get some.

I think water or tea should be ok and maybe a before bed snack? just in case she wakes hungry otherwise at night?
Will she go to be though without a bf or a bottle?

I feel like I'm dying how much longer can I have this for? I wish it was coming out the bottom end, I hate hate hate sick

I think up to 3 days but hopefully by tomorrow you will stop being sick. Ask your oh to go to the stores to buy you some metoclopramide or sth similar (no idea what you can have without prescription there)

I have been a full hour without being sick. Hooray.

I hope this is it subsiding now. It is not fun being sick every 20 mins all afternoon.

Hugs!! This bug isn't pleasent I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
You should still be ok to feed you LO even though your poorly but if you really can't face it then theres no harm in giving her formula.

Oh hun i.had this when A was little. i still fed him as he was feeding more often.
I sipped iced water in very very small sips and frequently. Get better soon, its such a horrible bug.
Do you have some EBM in the freezer you can use?

Poor thing! I had this a month back and my mum had to hold C whilst I fed because I was to weak. Hubby also used some of my stash from the freezer if I wasn't up to feeding Cx

I tried to feed her before bed but she was messing about. I don't think there was much milk there

I have a bit in the freezer for a night away we are having in a few weeks so ill have to dip into that and replace it if I need to.

If this is norovirus I never ever want it again. I was going loopy earlier, I asked OH to put a cowboy hat on my coffin when I die

I've not been sick for a while now but I have a cracking headache and I'm burning up.

I'm feeling a bit better now. Even had a piece of toast but I just feel whacked. I have a cracking headache.

I'm feeling much better today thanks. I have sore ribs from retching but my headache has gone and I don't feel sick anymore.

What an awful bug I hate being sick, I can't deal with it. I'd much rather it came out the bottom end.
