Sick baby

My little one has been crying loads today, it's not his normal cry, it sounds as though he's really stressed or irritated. He's been sick after almost every feed today (all over himself, me + hubby). He also hasn't pood like he normally does, it's very hard and he goes red in the face as though he is constipated. I did try giving him cool boiled water with a drop of orange juice this morning thinking that would get his bowels moving but I am now thinking is that what has made him sick?

Any thoughts ladies? By the way he is bottle fed.

I've given Tomos some water with orange juice today as he seemed to have a poo problem. He's been trying to poo and then when he eats hes trying to push and ends up throwing up a bit. He seems settled now but hasn't pooed.

Do you give Jovan some infacol before his feeds?

Have you tried giving him a massage to relieve some tummy pains?

I was told that orange juice might be strong for some babies so try prune juice for constipation..try massaging his tummy with warm oil..prune juice did help with my sons constipation so might be worth givin a try

and ya do check his temp..just in case he has fever as my son was throwing up feeds and later i realised he had fever..

I tried infacol a few weeks ago when he was having trouble winding but he didn't react to it very well so I stopped. I will try giving him a gentle tummy massage. Thanks x

try moving his legs gently in 'cycling' motions too - that sometimes helps to get things moving x

coleif (sp) are really good i like them better than infacol. orange juice made my lo sicky and prune juice worked a treat!
