As you can tell my looking at my ticker, I'm very pregnant...

My sister in law knows I'm pissed off with still being pregnant, and she's invited me to come over to hers for a few days to get away from it all.

She lives 150 miles away, and has a swimming pool in her garden which makes it really tempting...

Should I go though ? I know I'd be taking a chance, but I really want to!

I'd be torn too..... its sod's law that if you go, you'll go into labour the moment you get there, but then you'd be really far from home. I guess being that far away wouldn't be too bad if you had a slow labour and could come straight home again, although the journey back probably wouldn't be all that comfortable, but then, if it wasn't a slow one, you wouldn't be near your hospital. My mw said for me not to worry about going to a concert on my due date, but its only an hour away so we'd have time to get back, and not really the same at all. Basically, i don't know

if you weren't so close id say go for it... as nik said its almost guarenteed if you go now will be your time! I'd wait it at home if i were you just incase.

Your pregnancy though :)

xx

I say no......hmmmm too far and you could go in labour tonight..... Well, my opinion! You could always have a water birth in her pool lol

People aren't keen on that for some reason, i can't understand it  My mum is refusing to allow me in hers once i go into labour just in case, spoilt sport!

I've decided I'm going to go!

I'll leave tomorrow morning and get back in a few days, maybe 4, maybe even 5!

We get along really well, so I'll enjoy it.

I'll just have to hope I don't go into labour

make sure you take your baby bags with you and notes just incase then... you can always go to a hospital nearer to your sister in an emergency.

hope you enjoy yourself and that your baby is happy in your belly until you get back.

x

a defo wouldnt but ur own choice u are a bit far away but if u dont mind having ur baby somewere else then a would say go for it just not for me x

On a positive side, I am going for a home birth anyway, so if I do go into labour, it'll still be a home birth... Just in her home instead!

I was going to say go for it if your happy to maybe have baby else where! The break will do you good, and it's only 3 hours away really, nothing in my mind! Have a nice time!

This is probably a bad omen, but she went into labour when she was in my house two years ago...

One minute we were talking about babies, the next she was doubled over in my kitchen screaming in pain...

Not something I want a repeat of when I'm in her house

That's interesting! Maybe go for 2 days, might get things moving! Just a thought but will you be driving there and back on your own? Last thing you want is things start while your traveling and your by yourself.

Well I made it here!

And yes, I'm driving there and back...

About 2 hours ago I thought I was in labour.

I went to the toilet for a pee, and as I was getting up I got this really bad pain in my lower stomach & vagina, so bad I had to sit down again.

The pains came every 2 minutes for 1 hour, I was just about to get in my car to drive to the hospital when they stopped!

Pff, typical!

I'm sure I'll be fine till I get home!

That would be typical! Least your with family if anything happens and got there ok, enjoy your little break x
