shampoo!

there was a topic the other day about mascara, so i thought id make one about shampoo!

i've been buying expensive stuff for ages and ages thinking it makes my hair nicer but the other day i ran out so i used the normal tesco stuff (89p a bottle) and it made my hair softer and shinier than any of the toni & guy stuff ever did lol!

i love pantene pro v i think it makes my hair nicer than allmy salon shampoos and dries it nice n glossy n straight..smells gorgeous too xx

I love the Aussie 3 minute intensive conditioner as it smells lush and makes my hair all purdy

yeah they all do the same thing. When I was learning hairdressing in college they told us that people just buy named brands because they thought it was better (I was guilty of this aswell) Have you noticed in salons when you want to buy something like hairspray or gel from a hairdressers they are always priced really high, like 10 quid for a tiny pot of gel. Ive always hated them doing that, when I go to pick up things I need from the wharehouse (e.g hairspray, gel etc) they are only cheap. I bought a bottle of sebastian hairspray for only 2 quid They sell that in salons for 8.50 its all a big con

well im not gonna bother spending a fortune on hair products anymore now that i know the cheap ones are better!

half of the problem is the packaging!! dunno why but a bottle of shampoo that looks pretty seems more appealing lol!

i use wotever is on BOGOF in tesco at the time wen i need it, cheapsk8 me!!

lol, well its knocked about a tenner off mine and OH's shopping now that ive converted to cheapie stuff!! quite proud of myself ha ha!

I use Herbal Essence or Boots own brand stuff. I HATE that HE advert though, drives me mad!

Kirsty that often happens when you change shampoos because different residues build up on your hair. The cleanest and shiniest my hair ever was was with Vosene which looks and smells (and probably is) like washing up liquid. I had an aunt who used to wash her hair with washing up liquid and claimed it made no difference, but really got the grease out!

i've noticed that when you change any product for a new one it always seems to work better but after a while it doesnt lol!

its like when you smell something for so long you cant smell it anymore (i heard that on an advert!)

and yes, i HATE that herbal essences advert too!

I dispise the Herbal Essances Ad's (and they're worse in australia, really put me off buying it!)

But i love love love their red one... its got Roses in it... and smells gorgeous!!!!

I just wash my hair with Lynx shower Gel haha

Although I do go all out sometimes and shampoo and condition

ahhhhh JMC, you have no idea what problems women face on a daily basis....what shampoo to get, what mascara to use......ha ha!

I always thought you should switch shampoo regularly, something to do with the chemicals building up from one brand and a new brand will get rid of them before it starts building up it's own???

i think that might be true cos like i said i always find that if i've been using the same shampoo for a while and i change to another one it always seems to work better!

My ex used to wash his hair with lynx shower gel aswell. Thought it was just him but obviously not lol
