Section date 15th August

I had my appointment with the gyn this morning and he says baby is a big un lets have a section and im very happy with that so its all things go.

I have a pre operative appointment on the 10th then its in either the morning or night before for the section.

My baby will be one of the last to be born in that hospital as its shuts its doors the following week. Im glad I snuck in.

Its another 40 days then of being kicked senseless and broken sleep. It doesnt seem far away when you say August 15th but when you say 40, FORTY DAYS it seems long then.

Im pleased I know when its happening. It was inevitable it would go this way so I dont feel like Im missing out on natural childbirth.

I'm really chuffed for you (and can't help feeling just a tad jealous!) It must be really lovely to know the date.

Question for you hun.... Are they c-sectioning you just because LO is big and you are small?? I know we've had this conversation before, but my LO is big and no-one seems in the slightest bit concerned. I only found out how big from 2 extra scans I normally wouldn't have had (one at 28 weeks for a caffeine study I volunteered for, and my 4D one last week). At my last mw appointment it wasn't my usual lady, she confirmed that he was measuring big, but then booked me another appointment for 5 weeks!! I'll be 35 weeks when I see her again. I'm now wondering whether to bring that forward a little and voice my worries to her.

Hiya,
They are keen to do the section again because during the last labour Jessica didnt descend at all. The technical term was 'failure to progress'.

They assumed it was because of her size and with this baby looking to be bigger then it was suggested the same might happen and that a section will be better. He says he will cut away my scar from the last two opps and put it down a wee bit. Sounds okay that, might tighten the flabby skin.

If I go into spontaneous labour before then, i will try to labour but if not then the section is whats meant to be.

For me its a nice end to a long journey, it was this gyn that started my fertility treatmet years ago, done my lap and he will do my section, finishing the job so to speak.
