Scan today!! :)

So we had our scan this morning and everything is perfect! Cant believe how seeing the little baba on screen can make you feel. As soon as I saw that little heart beating I knew everything was ok. Its the most surreal experience ever!

Baby was being stubborn as hell (just like mummy!) and wouldnt move so the sonographer could do her measurements so she had me rolling around all over the place. Then all of a sudden babies arms and legs were going crazy and he/she was turning upside down! Loved every minute of it and cant wait for the next one!

Its amazing! The lady doing the scan had to push down quite hard on my tummy as my bladder was empty....which is strange as I had drunk what felt like 8 pints of water! This did hurt a little but just seeing the little heart beating away, it didnt matter. Think baby was sleeping as it took a while to get he/she moving but seeing this tiny baby moving and flipping about in my tummy is undescribable. I loved every minute of it.

Only advice I have is drink in advance as as soon as we left the antenatal clinic to head towards the blood test centre I needed a wee and had to go 4 times in all!! Even though the sonographer said my bladder was empty. It must take longer than I thought for the liquid to get down there!!

Good Luck with your scan meggymum, it will soon come round. I think I got my date around 7/8 weeks too and before i knew it it was 10.20am on Thursday and I was seeing my baby on the screen ooooo I could talk about this all day!!!
