Scan did not go well!

Well i'll start from the beginning really as i'll make it more understandable.

For the past couple of days I have been in loads of pain as most of you already know, Anyway I thought nothing of it because that seems to be a normal day to day thing for me.

Last night I went to the toilet for a poo (tmi) which I could not do due to severe constipation, Anyway I was pushing that forcefully that I felt a trickle of something which I said to OH I thought were my back waters, I was awake all night then with period cramps like someone was dragging weights across my abdomen, so had to sleep partially on my belly to ease the pain as I really didn't fancy another trip to hospital.

I had my scan and review today at 2pm to check cabhans growth as it hasn't been great all the way through my pregnancy, Whilst having my scan the sonographer did all babys measurements and said everyone was fine, then she checked my fluid levels which were 7.7cm she said to me "have you noticed any liquid coming from you" which obviously I have so I said yes and she sent me to speak to a midwife who reviewed me and everything.

When I got into the midwife she said to me "so do you know why we have brought you here" and I said yeah because babies fluid levels are at there lowest, Which she replied yes to but I was then told that he had dropped completley off his line on growth.
So she told me because of this now I had to go to ANDU to be monitored and that I will be getting induced on Monday.
I also have to go back to be monitored on saturday and then I will be admitted on Monday 28th august at 12.30pm for induction.

All this time I have thought something was wrong and turns out everything has gone wrong!! baby only weighs 4lb 11oz

I know rather annoyed actually that everyone including family thought I was just being "paranoid" well I hope they all feel bad now!!!

Should have him by thursday at the latest as she said it could take upto 3 days for it to work. but I wont be going home until he is out.. Just feel so bad that my body hasn't worked like it should to keep him healthy and growing!!

Making a baby is hardwork and when you've been under so much stress without the support you so desperately need it is bound to take it's toll physically plus you have another little one to look after which is a full time job in itself, made worse when you feel shit. Try and relax if you can over the weekend and look forward to the impending arrival. Try not to feel down about anything, this is how it's just meant to be.xx

Oh no hun!! At least they're doing something now. You won't be too early though right? My mates baby born on time was 4lb 5oz they didn't realise her fluids were low until she was in labour. Baby was fine!! Xx

what were babys measurements? My 34 wk scan baby was 4 lb 11 oz and my 36 wk scan baby was only 5 lb so hardly grew and was on the lowest centile but i had a scan this wk at 38 wks and they estimated 6lb so we will see,ive been so sick this pregnancy and only put on 11lbs in weight

Baby isnt 'full term' until 37weeks..
Sorry to hear you've had a rough time but at least the low fluid was seen quickly.. I had no fluid left after id been to the hospital with suspected leaking waters two-three weeks before I was induced.. They said my waters hadn't gone when they clearly had going on how little waters I had left.. They broke the sac and only a trickle came out.. That's all that was left..not good!
At least you know what's what and you'll be seeing your LO very soon!!

I wouldn't listen to scan weights they can be quite inaccurate.. Mine said I'd have at least an 8lber and she was only 7.4lb.. As long as the measurements are okay then weight isn't much of an issue..

They said he could be fine he also couldn't.
It all depends on what he's like when he comes out whether he can breathe without support, whether he's feeding well and how he copes with his body temperature is, I've just told to prepare myself
