Saw 4

I'm probably going to sound really thick, but if anyone has seen Saw 4 please help me understand!

Me and OH watched it at the weekend, and didn't understand the ending. Although I'm not entirely sure why the detective ended up helping him, I'm REALLY confused as to how Jigsaw's body was still in the room he died in when they took him to have an autopsy?

Am I being dense x

You will understand everything from all of the saw films once you have seen saw 5 it pieces all of your answered questions together

Basically, it's happening at the same time as Saw 3 is..but in a later film IYKWIM? The autopsy is at the start of Saw 4 but what actually happens in the film is happening at the same time as Saw 3, so it's a flashback?

When you see Saw 5 it will all click into place hehe!
