Oh. My. Good. God. I am watching this on BBC i-player, I am only 15 mins in but - jeez.

I HATE the mother. And it's quite scary. So far. 3 words the girl describes herself as 'pretty, blonde & dumb' and 'I don't need a brain'. The mother is in a dreamworld. Getting her daughter to sing at the bus-stop in case someone like Andrew Lloyd Webber walks past.

It's not so much child modelling that annoys me - although it isn't really something I would push my daughter to do - but it is the blonde hair extensions, the nails, the tan and the fact that Jordan is her idol and that is it for her life. She is dolled up like a mini porn-star and I find that quite disturbing.

Am I being too harsh??

I watched it too and found it shocking, she was dressed and looke like a slapper walking the streets. The mothers obviously a chav on the make.

No your not being harsh at all. I watched this when it was on BBC3 and was shocked at some of the things she was saying, she's only 11. Although I think its more her mothers words than her own as when she talks she has no expression in her voice, like she has been brainwashed into saying those things. I think its her mother who wants the career, not the child, she needs to be allowed to be a child and do what normal 11 year olds do. Its very shocking though

Oh sh*t I missed it  Is there a repeat?! x

I'm watching it on BBC i-player (link in my first post)

Okay the mother just said, 'I hate being a parent sometimes coz you have to shout and tell them off - it's not all dressing them up in nice clothes like you did with your barbies'.

Says it all really.

:D I watched this the other day.

Seriously describe your self "Im Blonde" and the dad said it too! Ahh another mother living her dreams through her child. The boy was a right little brat child too!

OMG that Mother is awful!! SHE'S more interesting in the "celebrity lifestyle" than the daughter is!!

I can't believe that on a family night out to the local Chinese the Mum made the daughter stand up in the middle of the restaurant and do a cheerleading routine! When the daughter said "oh noooo, I can't" she kept saying "don't be stupid Sash just do it, now" I can't believe it!

AND - When they were going through the paper to read Lorraine Kelly's column, the Mum kept saying "look Martin! It's me! That's a picture of me!" :talkhand:

I'm just shocked at how self centred the whole family are!

Sorry, I'm watching it as I type (well, listening) and I had to rewind to check if this is what I heard (and it was!);

(The Mum was driving the son & daughter to a modelling agency to see if they get accepted) and she said "If you don't get this Sash, you're grounded. Now smile" and Sash said "why do I need to smile?! I'm in the car" and the Mum said "yes you will. Smile now Sash, you'll smile at the f*cking traffic lights if needs be"

I know - the whole bl**dy thing made me angry. Wait till you get you the pageant - it is so obvious the mother is living her dream - I don't think the girl even has enough personality to know what she wants. I just feel a whole host of problems are being created here!! (I could actually rant for ages about this but I will stop now).

I watched this on iplayer on Sunday night and I was absolutely appalled. Her mother is an idiot, clearly trying to live her dreams through her daughter and filling her head with false hopes. She is totally off her head in my opinion. That poor girl, what hope does she have with a mother like that??

C xxx

I just finished watching it, I will show it to DH sometime soon.
It just goes to show how deluded some people can be.
Clearly, her mother is forcing her own unacheivable dreams down her daughter's throat and hoping that her daughter will be the "superstar" that she never was.
Children should enjoy their childhood while they can.
I mean, she's 11 going on 21.
Manicures, spray tans, plucked eyebrows? She needs to act like a regular 11 year old.
Who know's what she'll be like when she's 16 :wall:

Beauty Pageants are a big thing over here.
It's a shame the kids are plastered in so much make up.
I wish they could show of their real beauty, instead of being someone they're clearly not.

Forgot to mention;

What a horrible child.
She's very big headed and is far too rude.
That'll get her no where in life, let alone a career in modelling.
She needs to take herself down a peg or two.
Why anyone would want to be friends with her is beyond me.

Another child having to live out her mothers dream!

How can an 11 year old say her hero is Katie Price?! Getting your baps out doesn't make you a hero, but when you have little girls being brainwashed by the sort of lifestyle that Katie Price lives they suddenly want that for themselves. I'd have a heartattack if Aimee told me in in 11 years time that she wants to be a glamour model. It just isn't right.

Also these American beauty pageants freak me out. The girls just look so fake, plastic and creepy!! Their smiles scare me!

That mother needs to get her head from up her ass pronto, for a little girl who 'loves' her job, she has a job pushing a smile out, its blatently for her mothers feel good factor and not the little girl, i dont think she enjoys this one bit poor little thing, and the mother could have at least got dressed up to go on LK the scruffy cow

I watched this too, the poor girls hair is gonna be coming out in clumps before she hits her teens... peroxide on an 11 year olds hair??? :shakehead: something not right there!
even the model agency director said it in a nutshell
"we like kids to look like kids"

We watched the repeat a few nights ago...this bit stuck out for OH he's still going on about it!! :shakehead:

The mother was so wrapped up in the glam of 'America' like it was some kind of Disneyland to live in!! Even before the pageant, she was saying 'Oooh maybe she'll get spotted by someone, and you know Hollywood blah blah blah'

Yes that's exactly how it is, you enter into a pageant half way across the world that you know sod all about and find to be held in a hall the size of a living room, and next week you'll be on the red carpet with George Clooney at the launch of the biggest blockbuster of all time...and you're the lead role!

Disillusioned mother, forcing her views on disillusioned kids!

It annoyed me when she was saying that the girl would look good 'once she had her make up on and hair done' the kid is going to end up so insecure that her natural self is not good enough and she'll need to have her hair, nails, tan, make up all done before even popping out for a pint of milk!!! :talkhand:

where they ever in wife swap as well..???? one word for whole family ..CHAVS..and also i dont personally think theyre much good looking..the girl is plain without makeup..the mother has got a fat arse and dresses like a tramp and the boy has big teeth..!
