salad cream?

Hi,

this might sound like a stupid question but can we eat salad cream?

I know we aren't meant to eat fresh mayo but some books say its ok to eat jars of mayo. Which is correct? I don't really eat mayo but sometimes shop bought sandwiches have it on but i really like salad cream.

Shop bought mayo is fine. Its only fresh home made stuff you need to avoid.

Salad cream is fine to eat.

yep i eat both salad cream and mayo. only the bought stuff and those in packets.

never fancied making my own mayo!

As long as the bottle says made from pasteurised eggs then you are fine, majority of ready made mayo / salad cream does say this
