run out of milk?

edward feeds loads and loads in the evening.. last night he fed from 5.30 to 10.45 with 1 nappy change between.. and was really aggetated cried a lot an got angry at my boob.. did i run out? he has again been feeding for 3 hours tonight... i expressed near 2oz this afternoon so ive given him that.. i cant seem to express much off either.. whats going on??

i know a lot of women think.. are they having enough.. etc.. but hes feeding so long does the milk run out after so long?

He's cluster feeding, totally normal, he'll grow out of it and it's annoying as hell!

Eventually he'll start sleeping longer at night and the cluster feeding will help him do this. Your milk supply is fine

Charlotte was the same for the first month or so - feeding constantly in the evening. It does pass and I think it is good that they recognise that night is coming and are filling up in anticipation. Once she dropped this she would have a really long feed after her bath and before bed, and then she had her longest period of sleep from about 7-12. You will still be producing milk as long as they are suckling - it just takes a little longer.

holly did that on sunday... she picks her days as we were at my parents at the time with the whole family visiting!! i spent the whole afternoon going up and down the stairs to feed her every 10mins..... shes back to her normal feeding now o i wouldnt worry too much

Yeah don't worry.

You can never "run out of milk" your boobs will make more all the time, even during feeds

Lola does this sometimes but i think she's just being lazy and can't be bothered to get the hind milk out

lil Miss is the same...Tia did it too... but between 6 to 10 lil miss just feeds constantly and gets angry with the boob... I can squeeze some milk out but not express... but then the pumps aren't that good at getting your hind milk... babies are much better.
